A nurse friend of mine is recommending coffee enemas. She feel that they are an important part of a healthy lifestyle. Any ideas relative to safety of such practices would be appreciated.

I guess its because coffee is a type of laxative and i have heard of this and some benifits, the web link bellow gives a good explanation. Ive only used salen enemas to relieve terrible constopation. Just straight up water will not do much compared to a mix, sry ifg why. But there are multiple recipes for enemas. And i would use a coffee enema if i half to.

Really, you should use an enema if u have been constipated for a long time (4+ days) or for medical purposes, like getting surgry that will mess up ur digestion and u need an enema to help get rid of everything. You shouldnt use an enema often either (like every day is not good). If it does not work and u have squeezed the whole bottle and waited for 30mins on the toilet and have not gotten anything out, but know its there, u might have to go to the er to get that chunk out.

Its painless, usually fast, and when ur done u usually feel so realived ur suffering is over.

Hope this helped! :D

I have done water only enemas for 70 years, usually twice per week. There has been no bad results for me. I am still reasonably healthy at age 82. I would avoid coffee and most other additives.

I saw on Dr. Oz last week a segment that. He was basically saying it's not beneficial. The caffeine apparently gets absorbed and it's not good. I don't remember everything except that it's not good . You can prob find info on his site because it was recent
