With minimal investment of time/money you can get a pharmacy technician license, the pay is not much more than minimal wage, but you can learn much about pharmacy practice and drugs.
Now it requires a 6 year degree to become a pharmacist, there is always daylong standing, people (especially the pharmacy technicians) are always trying to steal drugs, the doctors prescribe meds that should not even be on the shelf from an FDA that puts company profits ahead of public health.
There are zillion pharmacy related laws, they can fine or jail the hell out of you if they want, while at the same time your kids are getting e-mails for online purchases of controlled drugs, that somehow the government cannot shut down. You can even point it out to the government and its nothing, Why? Its because the crooked drug companies have them in their back pocket.
Consider a Health Science major, it takes 4 years, when your done you can either go into a medical/dental/vet school or a physicians assistant (2 year) program.
If you know enough physics to build a time machine that goes back into time, then maybe pharmacy in the 1950's would be the place for you.
