Im interested in buying this book by Netter, the newest edition of course, which a family friend suggested (she's a surgeon). Anyway, I was making sure there isn't any others which are preferred or more in depth.. Thanks a lot! =)

Netter's is one of the most "user friendly" atlas. But you can also try Grant's Atlas. Its equally good.

I REALLY like Thieme's "Atlas of Human Anatomy."

Netter and Grant are both big names in anatomy. Grant's are drawn from real cadavers so there can be anatomical variations present, which is fine, and is actually a bit more realistic.

I suppose it depends on what you are using the book for. If you are using it as a interesting book in your library then I think Netter or Grant would be better. But if you want to learn the anatomy I think Thieme is the better option.

Netters is great. All I used. You do realise its not real life specimens, its just drawings. Still really good tho, If ur a med student like me all you need to do is learn from the atlas but make sure you get the see the stuff for real on your cadavers. I found it brilliant. Flash cards are really good too.
