is there any such thing as "good noise" when dealing with Post traumatic stress disorder?

I have PTSD and I've found that I have to have the radio and TV on all the time, even when I try to sleep.

If you find that it helps, then it's a good coping mechanism. People with PTSD are generally hypervigilant and having some familiar background noise can help ease anxiety.

Post traumatic stress disorder is just away of saying you have shell shock. I really don't know much about it, but I'd have to say that there really isn't much you can do about it. I didn't read anything here, but this might help you out with the treatment of PTSD.
